Voice Recognition EMIS Integration

Two busy Tyneside general practices, Parkway Medical Group and Holmside Medical Group, both Newcastle medical practices have upgraded their digital technology to integrate Enterprise Medical Speech Dictation software into the existing EMIS Web system, to completely modernise their digital dictation process.

About Parkway and Holmside Medical Groups

Dictation and document generation is a vital part of both practices, with time-sensitive, confidential material transferred between doctors, medical consultants and secretarial staff. Parkway employs 21 staff looking after 8,200 patients, while Holmside has 28 staff caring for 9,500 patients. SpeechWrite worked closely with both practices to demonstrate how SpeechWrite Dictation technology would enhance their patient care.

SpeechWrite Enterprise Medical Speech Dictation

SpeechWrite Enterprise technology was installed in both instances, in conjunction with SpeechMike 3 microphones, which are fitted with a hygiene-friendly antimicrobial surface, an ideal feature for the clinical environment. When creating a dictation document, patient information including profile, date of birth, IDs and EMIS properties are imported directly from the EMIS Web and clinical system, providing 100% accuracy. There are also no security concerns, as the software provides full encryption and secure file transfer, ensuring confidentiality and privacy.
