As its first New Year’s resolution, leading North Devon law firm Brewer Harding & Rowe (BHR) has replaced its digital dictation system with an innovative new digital dictation solution across its four offices. The recent upgrade, which was achieved by SpeechWrite Digital, has been designed to maximise the capability of BHR’s clerical resources, to meet the growing needs of its expanding business.
Each office generates memos and reports that require transcribing and the work is time-sensitive and confidential. Software solutions company SpeechWrite Digital carried out a system review and proposed a new workflow solution for BHR’s offices in Barnstaple, Bideford, Ilfracombe and Broughton. This resulted in BHR deploying Philips SpeechWrite Enterprise to the firm’s 65 users, as well as 22 SpeechMike USB dictation microphones. SpeechWrite Enterprise is a workflow management system developed specifically for corporate environments.
To facilitate swift forwarding of files, the channelling feature routes dictated files automatically to the most appropriate secretarial team, at any one of the firm’s offices. This destination is assigned according to which office has the administrative capacity to provide a transcription service most efficiently, regardless of location.
Matt Cooper, ICT Manager for Brewer Harding & Rowe commented:
“We’re delighted with the new SpeechWrite Enterprise application. It‘s maximised the firm’s administrative resources and increased our clerical flexibility, by making full use of our four operational offices. This has resulted in a surge in company productivity and much quicker response times to clients”.
